The Kraft Heinz Company has introduced a plant-based version of its iconic Kraft Mac & Cheese, marking the third collaborative release from the partnership between Kraft Heinz and The Not Company.
According to Lucho Lopez-May, CEO of the Kraft Heinz Not Company, the joint venture aims to produce plant-based alternatives to well-loved foods that closely mimic the taste of their traditional counterparts, providing consumers with familiar flavors without necessitating significant changes to their dietary habits. The Not Company contributes its innovative artificial intelligence (AI) technology, renowned for creating delectable plant-based foods, to Kraft. NotCo's AI technology has a demonstrated track record in crafting appealing plant-based options.
The collaboration aims to preserve the creamy and comforting experience that has made Kraft Mac & Cheese a beloved brand for over 85 years. By combining the strengths of both companies, the plant-based version is designed to offer fans the same satisfying taste without the inclusion of dairy ingredients. This launch aligns with the ongoing trend in the food industry towards providing plant-based alternatives to meet the evolving preferences and dietary choices of consumers.
