Eggslut, the popular chef-driven restaurant known for its elevated breakfast dishes, is officially launching in Canada. The brand will open its first-ever Canadian location on King Street West in Toronto on April 30, 2026. This marks the beginning of Eggslut's expansion into Canada, with plans for further growth in Toronto and potentially other cities like Vancouver.

A Popular Brand with Global Reach

Eggslut was founded in Los Angeles in 2011 and quickly gained a strong following thanks to its creative take on classic breakfast dishes. By using high-quality ingredients and offering unique twists on familiar items, Eggslut has transformed breakfast into an experience that many can't resist. Over the years, the brand has expanded to multiple locations in the U.S. and internationally, including the United Kingdom, Japan, and Australia. Now, Canada is the next stop for the growing brand.

Local Partnerships and Canadian Focus

In Canada, Eggslut is operated by Westrich Hospitality Inc., an independent franchise partner. The Toronto locations will be fully Canadian-run, with a strong emphasis on working with local Ontario-based suppliers. This approach will help the brand stay rooted in the community from the start. One of Eggslut's key partners is Burnbrae Farms, which will supply the eggs used in many of their dishes. The brand's focus on using local ingredients and building a homegrown team shows their commitment to supporting the Canadian market.

Exciting Plans for Expansion

The King Street West location will be the first of many planned openings in Canada. It’s located in a busy area of Toronto, one of the most competitive dining markets in North America. Eggslut’s second Toronto location is set to open in the summer of 2026 at Yonge and Dundas. The brand is also evaluating other potential markets across Canada, including Vancouver. This expansion plan aims to bring Eggslut's combination of high-quality, chef-driven breakfast options to more people across the country.

A Menu Focused on Quality and Simplicity

Eggslut’s menu is simple yet focused on delivering great quality and taste. Some of the most popular dishes include The Fairfax, which features cage-free soft scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and sriracha mayo, all served on a warm brioche bun. Another fan favourite is The Slut, a coddled egg served over smooth potato purée, topped with grey salt and chives, and served with slices of fresh baguette.

“We started with a simple idea: take something familiar and make it exceptional,” said Andy Lee, Co-Owner of Eggslut. “Toronto is a city that truly appreciates good food, and we’re excited to introduce Eggslut to the market.”

Building an Authentic Experience

Westrich Hospitality’s Adam Flook emphasized that the focus from day one has been on building Eggslut in Canada the right way. The team has worked hard to partner with Canadian suppliers and hire local staff, ensuring that the Canadian experience is as authentic as the brand’s international success. “We’re delivering an Eggslut experience that’s deeply rooted in the local community,” Flook said.

A New Addition to Toronto’s Dining Scene

With the opening of its first location in Toronto, Eggslut is ready to make a splash in the city's competitive food scene. The restaurant bridges the gap between fast-casual dining and chef-driven quality, offering an experience that’s both visually appealing and packed with bold flavours. Toronto food lovers are in for a treat as Eggslut brings its unique breakfast offerings to Canada.

Eggslut’s first Toronto location will open on April 30, 2026, at 545 King Street West, with more locations planned for the future.
