Coconut Cult yogurt has become a social media sensation, and some people are calling it life-changing. This premium yogurt has gained a loyal following, especially on TikTok, where users share taste tests, reviews, and personal experiences. Some claim that eating Coconut Cult daily has helped with digestion, reduced bloating, and even cleared up their skin. One TikTok user, Kelly Peer, said, "I’ve never looked hotter" after eating the yogurt for seven days.

The yogurt has a unique reputation, not just for its taste but also for its exclusivity. It's known to sell out quickly in stores, and finding it in stock feels like a rare treasure. However, with a price tag of about $10 for an 8-ounce jar, or $39 for a 16-ounce jar on the official website, it’s not cheap. Some people even suggest other probiotic yogurt brands like Activia, Cocoyo, and kefir as alternatives, though Coconut Cult seems to be the one everyone is talking about.

But is this yogurt really worth all the attention? Let's dive into the details of Coconut Cult and see what makes it so special.

What is Coconut Cult?

Coconut Cult was founded in 2015 by Noah Simon-Waddell. He created the yogurt as part of his own healing journey after struggling with gut issues. In a 2022 TikTok video, he explained how making probiotic yogurt at home made him feel significantly better. He claimed that eating the yogurt helped him feel more energized, clear-headed, and connected to his body.

The brand's name is meant to be playful, inspired by a group called the "cocoivores," who ate only coconuts and suffered health problems as a result. Simon-Waddell has said that he wanted to remind people of the dangers of fad diets while offering a healthier alternative.

What Makes Coconut Cult Different?

Unlike most yogurts, which are pasteurized after fermentation (killing the probiotics), Coconut Cult is not pasteurized. This allows the probiotics to remain active and thrive. As a result, the yogurt has a tangier flavor and a creamier consistency. It also has a bit of effervescence, similar to kombucha, and can even "explode" when opened. But Simon-Waddell assures customers that the "explosion" is a sign that the yogurt is packed with probiotics.

Each serving of Coconut Cult contains about 50 billion CFUs (colony-forming units) per ounce. This is much higher than most other probiotic yogurts on the market, which means you might not need to eat as much of it to get the benefits.

How to Eat Coconut Cult Yogurt

The brand suggests that Coconut Cult is more of a supplement than a regular snack or meal. You’re meant to eat it as part of your daily routine, often first thing in the morning or as a late-night snack. Coconut Cult recommends starting with one or two spoonfuls a day, especially if you're new to probiotics, as taking too many could lead to digestive discomfort.

Many users also suggest that you should avoid stirring the yogurt or double-dipping, as your saliva can kill the probiotics. Some also suggest not using a metal spoon, though this advice hasn’t been officially verified.

Is It Really Effective?

While many people report positive effects from eating Coconut Cult, including clearer skin and better digestion, the results are not instant. One reviewer mentioned that although they found the chocolate mousse flavor delicious, they didn't notice immediate results in terms of skin improvement or feeling “hotter.” However, they were only a few days into eating the yogurt.

As for whether the yogurt is worth the price, that depends on your budget and health needs. While it may not be affordable for everyone, it can be a useful tool for those looking to improve their gut health and treat themselves to something unique.
