Walmart has just made its Walmart+ membership even more enticing with a new collaboration. Starting this week, Walmart+ members will enjoy exclusive benefits from Burger King. For those paying $98 a year or $12.95 a month for Walmart+, there's good news: you can now get 25% off any digital order from Burger King. Plus, beginning in September, Walmart+ members will receive a free Whopper every three months with any purchase.

Venessa Yates, senior vice president of Walmart+, expressed excitement about the new perk. She highlighted that the aim is to enhance the value and convenience of Walmart+ membership by offering members extra savings and benefits. Partnering with a popular brand like Burger King aligns with their commitment to provide substantial value to their members.

The choice of Burger King as a partner was based on member feedback and a desire to offer a unique and valuable experience. Pat O'Toole, the chief marketing officer of Burger King North America, noted that the collaboration fits naturally with Walmart’s approach to delivering value. He expressed enthusiasm about being Walmart+’s first dining partner and looks forward to offering members great savings on Burger King’s flame-grilled favourites.

To take advantage of this offer, Walmart+ members should use the Burger King app or website. Members need to link their Walmart+ account with a Burger King Royal Perks account. After linking, they can use the app to select a participating Burger King location and apply the discount when placing their order.

This partnership is a strategic move for both companies. For Walmart+, it enhances the appeal of the membership program by adding a popular dining benefit. For Burger King, it provides a significant opportunity to attract more customers. Burger King has been struggling with sales recently, with a slight decline reported for the second quarter of the year. The hope is that the 59 million Walmart+ members might boost their customer base and help improve sales.
