Cheez-It fans have something exciting to look forward to two new smoky flavours launching soon, inspired by popular trends on TikTok. On Tuesday, the beloved snack brand revealed its latest creations: Smoked Cheddar and Smoked Gouda Cheez-Its, both designed to cater to the growing interest in flavour experimentation among social media users.
The idea for these new flavours came from a TikTok user known as Holmes Cooking, who gained significant attention for his video demonstrating how to make smoked Cheez-Its at home. This video alone has received over 242,000 likes, showcasing how much people enjoy adding their personal touch to the classic snack. In his video, Holmes starts with a box of white cheddar Cheez-Its, applies some oil, and generously sprinkles on barbecue seasoning, specifically using Heath Riles garlic jalapeno rub. He carefully coats the crackers and then grills them for two hours at 225 degrees, resulting in a tasty and smoky treat. This creative approach sparked a wave of similar videos on TikTok, prompting many to explore various ways to enhance the Cheez-It experience.

However, with the introduction of these new flavours, Cheez-It offers a much simpler option for those who want to enjoy the smoky taste without the hassle of preparing them at home. The company describes its Smoked Cheddar flavour as delivering "100% real cheese taste with a smoky cheddar twist." This robust flavour combines hickory and oak wood smoke to enhance the aged cheddar and onion notes, creating a rich and layered flavour profile that is sure to satisfy snack enthusiasts.

On the other hand, the Smoked Gouda flavour aims to deliver a creamy experience. Cheez-It explains that it expertly balances the rich essence of hickory and maple wood smoke with the smooth, rich taste of Gouda cheese. This combination promises a unique snacking experience that is both flavorful and enjoyable.

When it comes to how Cheez-It achieved these delicious smoky flavours, the brand is keeping its methods under wraps, mentioning only that a "proprietary process" was used to create the new taste. This adds a touch of mystery to the new products, making them even more intriguing to fans.

Starting in November, these exciting new flavours will be available at major grocery stores across the country, including Publix, Kroger, Walmart, and Albertsons. Both flavours will come in two sizes: a 7-ounce container with a suggested retail price of $3.25 and a 12.4-ounce container priced at $4.99.

As the popularity of smoky flavours continues to rise, Cheez-It’s new offerings are perfectly timed to capture the attention of snack lovers everywhere. With the convenience of ready-to-eat smoked crackers, fans can enjoy the delightful taste without having to fire up the grill.
