As summer approaches, Starbucks is ready to quench our thirst with refreshing new drinks. The coffee giant is unveiling a brand-new Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, set to launch this May at locations nationwide. The drink is inspired by horchata, a traditional Mexican beverage made with rice and cinnamon.

The Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso will combine the smoothness of oat milk with a unique horchata syrup and Blonde espresso. This new addition is part of a revamped summer menu, which also includes some familiar favorites like the Summer Berry Refreshers. These drinks feature fruity flavors and flavored popping pearls that add a fun twist to every sip. A new Strawberries and Cream Cake Pop will also be available, offering a sweet treat to pair with your iced beverage.

This will be the first update to Starbucks' menu since the spring release. Although the coffee chain has yet to confirm all the details of the summer menu, food blogger Markie Devo shared some inside information online. Devo, known for his tips on upcoming menu items, believes the new summer drinks will be available starting May 20. According to him, a coconut-flavored version of the Summer Berry Refresher called the Coconut Milk Skies may also make an appearance.

While Starbucks hasn’t confirmed the exact launch date, fans are excited about the new additions. On social media, many are eagerly awaiting the return of the Summer Berry Refreshers and the chance to try the Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso.

There is also buzz surrounding the changes to Starbucks' menu, as the company plans to simplify its offerings. CEO Brian Niccol has previously stated that the brand intends to streamline its menu to improve service. This means some popular items might be cut. Food blogger Devo noted that there could be fewer summer menu items this year compared to last year.

Customers are already speculating which drinks will make the cut and which ones might be gone for good. Among the most discussed items is the S’mores Frappuccino, with many hoping it won’t be removed from the menu. Whether it makes a comeback or not remains to be seen, but fans are hoping for a surprise return.

In the meantime, Starbucks fans can look forward to the Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and other exciting summer menu items that will help cool us off as the heat arrives. Keep an eye out for updates, as Starbucks' summer drinks are sure to be a hit.
