On August 21, A&W will host its annual Burgers to Beat MS Day, a nationwide campaign to support people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). For every Teen Burger sold that day, A&W will give $2 to MS Canada. This popular fundraiser started in 2008 and has already raised over $21.7 million to support MS research and services.

How You Can Help
Supporters don’t need to wait until August 21. People can start donating today at A&W restaurants by rounding up their purchases, giving online, through the A&W app, or even while ordering A&W using the Uber Eats app.

Susan Senecal, President and CEO of A&W Canada, shared her excitement:
“As a proud Canadian company, we support causes that matter to Canadians. Every year, our franchisees do amazing things for this campaign—from raffles to live music. We can’t wait to see everyone come together again on August 21 to beat MS one burger at a time.”

Understanding MS and Why It Matters
MS affects the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. More than 90,000 Canadians live with it, and about 12 people receive a diagnosis each day.
Funds from this campaign help MS Canada provide vital programs and continue research to better understand and treat this life-altering disease.

Pamela Valentine, President and CEO of MS Canada, said:
“This campaign has changed lives. The partnership with A&W helps us fund programs and research, and gives people real support. Together, we are building a brighter future for those with MS.”

Music, Burgers, and a Special Guest
This year, A&W has teamed up with country music star Jess Moskaluke, who knows firsthand how MS affects families.
“My dad lived with MS, so I know how hard it can be,” said Moskaluke. “That’s why I love this campaign. It lets me support a great cause and a great Canadian brand.”

To celebrate, Jess will join A&W for a free event in Saskatoon—her home province and the birthplace of this campaign.

Event Details:
📅 Thursday, August 7
🕚 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
📍 A&W, 2512 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK

At the event, guests can meet Jess, grab a Teen Burger, take photos, and enter to win concert tickets. Representatives from MS Canada will also be there to accept donations and share information.

Come Together for a Cause
On August 21, Canadians across the country can join hands and hearts—at restaurants, online, or through delivery—to help beat MS. This campaign shows the power of people coming together to support each other and make real change.
