Krispy Kreme marked the release of Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, by changing the colour of its Original Glazed doughnuts to orange for just one day. USA Today

Taylor Swift's highly anticipated album "The Life of a Showgirl" hit shelves on Friday, October 3, and Krispy Kreme joined the celebration with a colourful surprise. For one day only, the doughnut chain turned its classic Original Glazed doughnuts a bright orange to mark the release of Swift's 12th studio album.

A Dozen Reasons to Celebrate

Krispy Kreme launched the "Spotlight Dozen" on October 3, calling it a tribute to "all things 12" — a clear nod to Swift’s 12th album.

This special box includes:

  • 9 orange-glazed Original Doughnuts
  • 3 swirl-topped doughnuts

The whole dozen costs $12 and is available in-store, at the drive-thru, and online. Customers can only buy up to two boxes per order, and the offer is available only while supplies last.

The brand shared the announcement on social media:
"On 10/3 ONLY, we’re celebrating all things 12!"

Krispy Kreme added, "Same Original Glazed taste, just with a bold new glow."

Swifties React with Excitement

Fans quickly caught on to the sweet tribute. One fan posted,
"I’ve been waiting for this!! Donuts enhance a listening party for sure!"

Another added,
"Krispy Kreme is a Swiftie 😭😭😭."

Stores across the country took part in the promotion, offering the limited-time doughnuts for just one day. The eye-catching orange glaze gave fans a fun way to enjoy Swift’s music and a sweet treat at the same time.

Album Drops at Midnight

Taylor Swift’s "The Life of a Showgirl" officially launched at midnight Eastern Time on October 3.

The album features 12 tracks, including:

  • The Fate of Ophelia
  • Elizabeth Taylor
  • Actually Romantic
  • Honey
  • Wi$h Li$t
  • The Life of a Showgirl (featuring Sabrina Carpenter)

Top producers Max Martin, Shellback, and Swift herself worked on the album. The release has already sparked excitement worldwide, with fans holding midnight listening parties and celebrating in creative ways — doughnuts included.

More Than Just a Doughnut

Krispy Kreme's tribute was more than just a marketing move. It added to the celebration surrounding one of the year’s biggest music releases. With the orange-themed doughnuts, Swifties got to enjoy the album drop with a bit of fun and sugar.

Though the offer lasted just one day, it showed how big an impact Swift continues to have — even on the food world.
