Jake Gyllenhaal may lead the cast of The Bride!, but Jeanne Cadieu drew much of the attention at the film’s world premiere in London on Thursday evening.
The 29-year-old French model stepped onto the red carpet in a bold black gown that quickly caught the eye of photographers and guests. She attended the event to support Gyllenhaal, 45, and his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, who wrote and directed the film.
A Striking Fashion Choice
Cadieu wore a fitted black turtleneck dress featuring a sketched outline of a nude female form across the fabric. The design offered a fresh take on the popular “naked” dress trend while keeping the look artistic rather than revealing.
She kept her styling simple. Her dark hair sat in a sleek updo, and her makeup highlighted a natural, glowing complexion. She chose chunky drop earrings and carried a black-and-gold clutch with a metallic hand-shaped clasp. The clean styling allowed the unusual design of the dress to stand out.

Gyllenhaal matched the tone of the evening in a double-breasted black suit. He posed beside Cadieu throughout the premiere, smiling for cameras as they walked the carpet together.
A Relationship That Grew Over Time
The couple first sparked dating rumours in late 2018 when they were seen together in New York City and Paris. They did not confirm their relationship publicly for nearly three years.
In September 2021, they made their official red carpet debut at the premiere of Maggie Gyllenhaal’s film The Lost Daughter. Since then, they have appeared together at select events, including the Paris premiere of Ambulance, the Cannes Film Festival, and the New York premiere of Road House in 2024.
While both value their privacy, Gyllenhaal has spoken more openly in recent years about his personal life.

In a 2022 interview, he described his relationship in warm terms. “In a lot of ways, we're family,” he said. “I'm in a relationship that is full of love and support. I feel so at ease.”
He continued: “I'm not unaware that there's interest in my life. My life is wonderful. I have a relationship that is truly wonderful, and I have a family I love so much. And this whole period of time has made me realize that.”

Gyllenhaal has also shared his hopes for the future. During a 2021 radio interview, he said, “That's all I want is to be a good husband and a father…That really is what I want.”
He added, “And now that I have fulfilled a lot of things in my career that I feel comfortable with, I can safely say that. I don't know if I could have said that before.”
Last year, he reflected again on his priorities. “I'm not going to give you timing [about wedding bells],” he said. “I think we all get into that space of work, work, work, and for a long time, my career took precedence. But I'm at a point in my life where I realise that family really is the only thing that matters to me.”
As The Bride! prepares for release, Cadieu’s appearance in London has added fresh interest—not just in the film, but in the couple who walked the carpet side by side.
