Even global singers can’t resist turning life events into full Disney productions.
Josh Groban has announced his engagement to Natalie McQueen, sharing that the proposal took place at Disneyland, which he called his “happiest place.” The 45-year-old singer revealed the news on Instagram, posting photos from the moment and writing that his “best friend said yes.”
The proposal itself leaned heavily into the fairy-tale setting, complete with a flower-decorated pagoda, a celebratory cake, and a very visible diamond ring that did its job of confirming the whole thing. Groban also credited Disney Weddings for helping orchestrate what he described as a magical day.
A Relationship That Grew Quietly Online
The couple first made their relationship public in February 2023, choosing Valentine’s Day for the reveal. Since then, they’ve shared occasional glimpses into their lives together, including trips and low-key moments that suggest they’re not just performing for an audience, despite, you know, both being performers.
One notable highlight came later that year when Groban visited Disney World for the first time with McQueen, documenting the trip with the kind of enthusiasm people usually reserve for childhood nostalgia or free snacks.

Communication, Humor, and the Long Game
In a 2024 interview, Groban spoke about what keeps their relationship steady, and surprisingly, it wasn’t just grand gestures in theme parks. He emphasized communication, explaining that both he and McQueen tend to prioritize each other’s happiness, which sometimes requires intentional check-ins to stay grounded.
He also pointed out that humor plays a big role, noting that they make each other laugh constantly. Underneath the polished public moments, the relationship seems built on routine effort, mutual respect, and the kind of conversations most people try to avoid until something goes wrong.
From Stage to “Happily Ever After”
McQueen, a seasoned stage actress, has built her career in theatre, while Groban has spent years balancing music, acting, and live performances. Their engagement brings together two performers who understand the demands of the spotlight, which might explain why they’ve kept things relatively private until now.
The Disneyland proposal may look like a perfectly staged fairy tale, but behind it sits a relationship that has been developing steadily over the past couple of years. The ring is new, the setting was dramatic, and the announcement was very online, but the foundation seems refreshingly normal.
