Canadian social media personality Clement, also known as the Ramen Guy, shared his gastronomic adventure aboard an Air Canada flight to China. With over 3.3 million followers on TikTok, Clement is renowned for his travel and food content. During the 12-hour journey, he meticulously critiqued every meal provided by the airline, offering his honest assessments to his online audience.

For lunch, Clement opted for the shepherd’s pie, while his wife chose the Chinese chicken on rice. Although the chicken dish resembled teriyaki chicken, Clement rated it a modest 5 out of 10. Conversely, the shepherd’s pie fared slightly better with a 7 out of 10 score. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal was the brownie, which Clement praised for its pillowy texture and moderate sweetness, earning it an impressive 8 out of 10.

Mid-flight, the crew served tuna sandwiches accompanied by individual packets of Biscoff cookies. Clement found the cookies addictive, awarding them an 8.5 out of 10. However, he deemed the sandwich merely satisfactory, stating that it fulfilled its purpose without being exceptional.

As the flight approached its destination, breakfast was served. Despite his initial skepticism, Clement was pleasantly surprised to find noodles on the morning menu, a delight for any ramen enthusiast. He particularly enjoyed the rice vermicelli noodles in the pork noodle dish, awarding it an 8.5 out of 10. Even the Western omelette, ordered by his wife, received a respectable score of 7 out of 10.

Air Canada has recently made efforts to enhance its onboard dining experience. The airline introduced a revamped menu featuring over 100 seasonal dishes and expanded its selection of snacks and beverages. Collaborating with renowned Canadian chefs such as David Hawksworth, Vikram Vij, and Jérôme Ferrer, Air Canada emphasizes locally sourced ingredients and Canadian culinary traditions in its upgraded offerings.

Clement's detailed reviews provide valuable insight into the quality of in-flight dining and reflect Air Canada's commitment to providing a satisfying culinary experience for its passengers. His engaging commentary on the airline's meals underscores the significance of food in shaping the overall travel experience and highlights the potential for airlines to elevate their onboard dining offerings to meet passenger expectations.
