Magna International Inc., headquartered in Ontario, has recently established a strategic partnership with Sanctuary AI, a Vancouver-based company. The collaboration aims to create versatile AI robots suitable for Magna's manufacturing facilities. While specific financial details remain undisclosed, Magna has made a strategic equity investment in Sanctuary AI, further solidifying their relationship.

Sanctuary AI, established in 2018, specializes in various technologies, including dexterous humanlike hands and an advanced AI control system. Magna, having invested in Sanctuary AI since 2021, recognizes the potential of its innovations for enhancing manufacturing processes.

Todd Deaville, Magna's Vice President of Advanced Manufacturing Innovation, highlights the significance of integrating general-purpose AI robots into their factories. This integration is expected to streamline operations and enhance efficiency by assigning these robots specific tasks suited to their capabilities.
