Pizza 73 is heating up this fall with its newest creation — the Volcano Pizza. The Western Canadian favourite has become the first quick-service restaurant in the country to introduce this fiery, indulgent treat.

The Volcano Pizza features a golden crust topped with garlic, cheese, and Italian seasoning, baked to perfection. At its centre sits a bubbling “volcano” of peppercorn ranch dip, ready for dipping each delicious slice. Customers can choose between two versions — classic cheese or pepperoni — both made to satisfy those who crave flavour and fun in every bite.

From Red Deer to Western Canada

The idea first took shape during a summer pilot run in Red Deer, where it received an overwhelming response from customers. After the success, Pizza 73 decided to bring the Volcano Pizza across Alberta, with select locations in Saskatchewan and British Columbia now joining in. The nationwide launch began on October 14, perfectly timed for fall gatherings and the start of hockey season.

The Volcano Pizza follows Pizza 73’s string of 2025 hits, including the Stuffed Crust Pizza earlier this year and the Loaded Tots introduced in the summer — both instant crowd-pleasers. With its unique presentation and shareable format, the Volcano Pizza is expected to become a new favourite for game nights, parties, and family get-togethers.

A Celebration of Sharing and Fun

“As a brand rooted in bringing Canadians together over pizza, the Volcano Pizza was created to make those shared moments even more exciting,” said Adam Williamson, Marketing Director at Pizza 73.

He added, “We’ve seen incredible response to our recent indulgent product innovations, and the Volcano Pizza takes that same energy to a whole new level. It’s fun, unexpected, and made to be shared — just like the best Pizza 73 experiences.”

The new creation represents what the brand stands for — togetherness, excitement, and a little indulgence. The design itself encourages sharing, with the central dipping “volcano” offering a playful way to enjoy each slice.

Perfect Timing for Hockey Season

Pizza 73’s strong connection to Western Canada’s sports scene makes this launch especially fitting. As a partner of the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers, the company is gearing up to keep fans well-fed as the hockey season begins.

Whether it’s a family gathering, a night with friends, or cheering from the couch, the Volcano Pizza promises a fun and flavourful way to bring people together.

Available for a Limited Time

The Volcano Pizza is now available across participating locations starting October 14, 2025, for dine-in, delivery, and online orders through the Pizza 73 website or app.

With its combination of bold flavour, interactive design, and perfect timing, this limited-time menu item is set to be a sizzling hit across Western Canada.
