Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that star midfielder Kevin de Bruyne will remain with the team despite recent rumors of a potential move to Saudi Arabia. De Bruyne, who has one year left on his contract, had hinted last month that he might consider an offer from the Saudi Pro-League due to the substantial financial incentives. However, Guardiola dismissed these concerns, saying, "Kevin isn’t leaving."
De Bruyne was a crucial player for Manchester City last season, helping the team secure their fourth consecutive Premier League title and his sixth since joining the club. Guardiola’s comments came ahead of City’s pre-season match against Celtic in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

There has also been speculation about other players, including Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City. Additionally, Brazil goalkeeper Ederson has attracted interest from Saudi Arabian clubs. Despite these rumors, Guardiola believes that it is more likely that the squad will remain largely unchanged from last season.

Guardiola acknowledged the possibility of new signings but indicated that the chances of significant changes are slim. "If someone leaves, we will discuss it, and of course, until the last day of the transfer window, there are opportunities," he said. "But I think there is an 85, 90, 95% chance that we will have the same squad."

Manchester City will kick off their Premier League title defense against Chelsea on August 18. The team's focus will remain on maintaining their success and building on last season’s achievements as they prepare for the new campaign.
