Jennifer Garner has set the internet abuzz with her intense workout routine as she prepares to reprise her role as Elektra in the hit film Deadpool & Wolverine. The 52-year-old actress, who delighted fans by returning to her superhero role, shared her rigorous training regimen with her 16.4 million Instagram followers, showing just how dedicated she was to getting into superhero shape.
Jennifer posted a montage of her demanding workouts, revealing the effort behind her fit physique. “Before taking on the role, I was fit, but not @marvel fit,” she wrote, adding a humorous touch about her past attempts to convince her kids’ friends that she was secretly a ninja. She hadn’t used Elektra’s iconic sais since 2004, making this comeback even more exciting.

Her workout routine was nothing short of extraordinary. It included boxing sessions three times a week, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), and Peloton rides. Jennifer teamed up with her long-time friend and stunt double, Shauna Duggins, to intensify their training. “We amped up our training, led by @bethjnicely at @thelimitfit: 1x/day, plus whatever homework she assigned for a second workout,” Jennifer explained. Her regimen also involved boxing with @flvcothefuture from @matchroomxchurchillgym and plenty of sessions on @onepeloton’s @becsgentry.

Reflecting on her preparation, Jennifer fondly remembered calling it 'SuperHeroSummer.' She enjoyed practicing with her sais in the backyard and found the experience both challenging and enjoyable. “I didn’t know that Elektra and I needed an ending, but Shawn and Ryan did. They are gifted in many ways, but seeing and elevating people around them is at the top of the list,” she added.
