Disney Cruise Line is set to grow its fleet with the addition of four new ships, which will enter service between 2027 and 2031. This announcement was made by Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase, a highlight of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
The new ships will bring the total number of Disney Cruise Line vessels to 13. This expansion comes as the cruise line continues to build on its existing fleet of five ships and four more that are already in the works.

D’Amaro also shared exciting news about the upcoming Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny ships, which are part of the ongoing expansion. The Disney Destiny, set to launch in November 2025, will feature a new musical production titled “Disney Hercules.” This stage show is inspired by the popular Walt Disney Animation Studios film and promises to be a major attraction for guests.

Meanwhile, the Disney Treasure, which will embark on its inaugural voyage this November, will showcase a new stage production called “Disney The Tale of Moana.” This show will feature a remarkable 15-foot-tall puppet of Te Kā, the largest puppet ever created for a Disney Cruise Line performance. The grand puppet will be a central element of the show, adding a unique and visually stunning experience for passengers.

Additionally, Disney Cruise Line unveiled new crew member costume designs for two new venues on the Disney Treasure. The Haunted Mansion Parlor, inspired by Disney’s classic theme park attraction, will have costumes reflecting the eerie charm of the beloved ride. The Periscope Pub, which draws inspiration from Walt Disney’s 1954 film “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” will feature attire inspired by the film and its associated attractions.

These new designs were created by Josh Winchester, Senior Costume Designer with Disney Live Entertainment, who also designed uniforms for the Disney Wish. Winchester’s designs blend elements from the original park attractions and films with new features unique to Disney Cruise Line.

The announcement of these new ships and the details about the upcoming entertainment and venue designs showcase Disney Cruise Line’s commitment to enhancing its offerings and providing exceptional experiences for its guests. As Disney continues to expand its fleet, fans can look forward to new adventures and innovative entertainment options on the high seas.
