Alaska Airlines has joined forces with Expedia Group to launch a new booking platform called Stays by Alaska Vacations. This exciting partnership offers travellers the chance to find deals on over 900,000 hotels and vacation rentals around the world, all while benefiting from Alaska’s renowned loyalty program.
With Stays by Alaska Vacations, guests can turn their travel dreams into reality. They now have the option to redeem miles from Alaska’s Mileage Plan for hotel stays or vacation homes. Loyal customers of Alaska Airlines will earn one mile for every dollar spent on bookings made through this platform. Additionally, those with an Alaska Airlines Visa Signature card will enjoy special redemption rates and earn three extra miles per dollar on eligible pre-paid stays.

Alaska Airlines prides itself on having one of the most generous mileage plans in the industry, known for providing a swift path to elite status. The plan offers travellers an enhanced flying experience with spacious First-class and Premium-class seating, extensive global connectivity, no change fees, and high-quality food and drinks inspired by the West Coast.

Courtney Lansing, managing director of business development and products at Alaska Airlines, highlighted the benefits of this new platform. "Stays by Alaska Vacations combines convenience and affordability, by giving our guests access to Expedia Group's vast inventory and unlocking special savings while earning status on an award-winning airline. Through this partnership with Expedia Group, we're empowering our guests with choices for every part of their trip—from flights to where they stay. It's a testament to our shared commitment to enhancing the travel experience," Lansing said.

Stephen Cheng, vice president of strategic partnerships at Expedia Group, also expressed enthusiasm about the new venture. "We are excited to expand our partnership with Alaska Airlines, underscoring our commitment to seamless, end-to-end traveller experiences backed by proven, reliable tech. Powered by our White Label Template solution, Stays by Alaska Vacations unlocks our robust lodging supply and offers incredible value for Alaska Mileage Plan members to earn and redeem miles across various trip elements,” Cheng remarked.

The launch of Stays by Alaska Vacations follows the earlier introduction of Packages by Alaska Vacations, which allows travellers to access exclusive discounts on airfare, hotel rates, car rentals, and activities. This new travel portal, powered by advanced travel technology, makes it easier for guests to plan and customize their trips while saving money and earning miles along the way.
