Nicole Kidman made a striking appearance at the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards, held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Before stepping onto the red carpet, Nicole shared a glimpse of her look on social media, showing off her soft waves and subtle makeup. Fans flooded the comments with heart and flame emojis, with director Halina Reijn also leaving a heart-eyed emoji in admiration.
At 57, Kidman was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Lioness. In her category, Nicole competed against Moeka Hoshi (Shōgun), Allison Janney (The Diplomat), Skye P. Marshall (Matlock), Anna Sawai (Pachinko), and Fiona Shaw (Bad Sisters). Many had anticipated that she would also secure a nomination for Best Actress in a Film for Babygirl, but the spot went to Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofía Gascón, Angelina Jolie, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Mikey Madison, and Demi Moore instead.
Nicole’s Babygirl co-star Antonio Banderas recently praised her dedication to the craft, particularly in handling the film’s intimate and emotional scenes. He spoke about how she created a "safe environment" on set while working alongside director Halina Reijn.
"She’s able to completely let go and be vulnerable in front of the camera," Banderas shared. "It’s extraordinary to see an actor embrace a role so fearlessly." He acknowledged the challenges of filming such a raw and emotionally charged movie, emphasizing the importance of trust between actors in those moments.

Nicole has always been known for her fearless performances, and Babygirl was no exception. Banderas explained how the cast built mutual trust, allowing them to perform without hesitation. "You need to feel safe in that environment, knowing that the story you're telling is worth it," he added.
Kidman’s Critics Choice Awards appearance, in addition to her impressive film and television projects, continues to cement her status as one of Hollywood’s most respected actresses. Even though she didn’t secure a nomination for Babygirl, her powerful performances keep her in the spotlight.
