The New Jersey Devils secured a thrilling 3-2 shootout victory over the Minnesota Wild on Monday night, marking their third win in four games. Paul Cotter and Jesper Bratt delivered in the shootout, while Luke Hughes and Nico Hischier found the net in regulation. Goalie Jacob Markstrom made 27 saves to help the Devils clinch back-to-back wins over the Wild, following their 5-2 triumph on Saturday.

Minnesota’s Vinnie Hinostroza and Matt Boldy managed to score, but the Wild fell short, suffering their fourth loss in five games. Filip Gustavsson stood strong in goal with 26 saves, but in the shootout, Cotter and Bratt’s goals proved decisive. Boldy’s attempt to keep Minnesota alive hit the crossbar, sealing New Jersey’s victory.

Flyers Stay Hot with Third Straight Win

In Philadelphia, the Flyers edged out the Nashville Predators 2-1, extending their winning streak to three games under interim coach Brad Shaw. Jamie Drysdale netted the game-winner, while Ivan Fedotov turned away 28 shots. Ryan Poehling also contributed a goal, and both Travis Konecny and Matvei Michkov provided two assists.

The Predators found the net once, courtesy of Zachary L’Heureux, while goalie Justus Annunen made 16 saves. Despite Nashville’s efforts, Philadelphia held firm to maintain their perfect record since Shaw took over last week.

Flames Rally Past Avalanche in Shootout Comeback

The Calgary Flames mounted a dramatic third-period comeback to beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in a shootout. Trailing 2-0 late in the game, Ryan Lomberg and Adam Klapka struck just 32 seconds apart to tie the score. Yegor Sharangovich then stepped up in the shootout, scoring the only goal to lift Calgary to victory.

Dan Vladar was a key factor in the Flames' win, making 28 saves in regulation and shutting down all three Avalanche shootout attempts. This win snapped Calgary’s seven-game losing streak against Colorado and kept their playoff hopes alive. With nine games left, the Flames are five points away from a wild-card spot.

Stars Extend Win Streak with Victory Over Kraken

The Dallas Stars continued their dominant run, securing a 3-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken. Matt Duchene and Wyatt Johnston gave Dallas an early lead, scoring in the first period. Goaltender Casey DeSmith had a stellar performance, stopping 35 shots to backstop the Stars to their sixth consecutive win.

Seattle’s Kaapo Kakko scored just over a minute into the game, setting a personal best with 41 points this season. However, the Kraken couldn’t capitalize further, and Mikael Granlund sealed the game for Dallas with an empty-net goal in the final minutes.

With this win, DeSmith improved his record, winning eight of his last nine starts. Dallas continues to gain momentum as they approach the postseason.
