The colorful celebration of the 70th anniversary of Disney’s original theme park is meant to be “the best birthday party ever.
Disneyland is rolling out the red carpet for its 70th birthday, and the gifts are all for the guests. Starting May 16, the resort is celebrating its iconic milestone with multi-day ticket discounts, exclusive experiences, new shows, and exciting merchandise. The anniversary festivities will run through summer 2026 — and there’s plenty for visitors to look forward to.
Huge Savings on Disneyland Multi-Day Tickets
Disneyland’s 70th anniversary means guests can enjoy big savings. For a limited time, adult tickets are available for $100 or $120 per day. These prices depend on the package you choose and are valid through August 14.
The standard 3-day package costs $360 and allows non-consecutive visits on any three days, including weekends and holidays. Guests can also upgrade to park hopping for $90, unlocking access to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on the same day.
A 4-day anniversary ticket is also available for $400, with a similar option to add park hopping for $95. Both ticket types require park reservations and are being sold through Disneyland’s website and app.
Costco Adds Extra Magic with Exclusive Ticket Deal
Costco members on the West Coast can access a special deal for $449.99. This includes a 3-day park hopper ticket, Lightning Lane Multi Pass (to skip standard ride lines), and a $30 dining credit.
Even better, these tickets can be used on non-consecutive days between May 20 and December 19. This timeframe includes major holidays like Halloween, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving — all without blackout dates.
Tom Bricker, co-founder of DisneyTouristBlog.com, called this one of the longest-running ticket deals Disneyland has ever offered. “It’s unprecedented,” he said, noting the wide eligibility window that stretches into the Christmas season.
Save on Hotel Stays Too
The savings don’t stop at tickets. Disneyland Resort hotels are offering 30% off for guests who stay four nights or more. This deal is valid on select dates through September 26 and adds even more value for extended family vacations.
Celebrate Happy: Disneyland’s Brightest Birthday Yet
Unlike past celebrations, the 70th anniversary embraces a more playful, colorful vibe under the theme “Celebrate Happy.” New banners and a bold crest now decorate Sleeping Beauty Castle, while Mickey and friends sport dazzling new outfits.
A brand-new anniversary anthem by the Jonas Brothers, titled Celebrate Happy, plays throughout the parks, adding a cheerful soundtrack to the celebration.
Must-Try Food and Limited-Edition Merch
Hungry? Disneyland is serving nostalgic treats like a chili-loaded baked potato and a corn chip-topped fried beef tamale, honoring Walt’s favorite foods and the birthplace of Doritos. Special 70th anniversary merchandise and collectibles are also up for grabs, including a commemorative Disneyland key that unlocks musical surprises in nine locations.
Complete all nine and you could score a special pin.
