Fashion legend Giorgio Armani is skipping the runway spotlight this Milan Fashion Week—but not the creative reins. The 90-year-old icon is currently recovering at home and will not appear at the end of his Emporio Armani or Giorgio Armani shows, his fashion house announced on Friday.
No specific details were shared about his condition, but the statement confirmed he is “recovering at home” and will be monitoring every detail of the shows remotely.
The Show Goes On—Just Without Armani’s Bow
For decades, Armani’s post-show appearances have been as anticipated as the collections themselves. This time, however, his longtime right-hand man and head of menswear, Leo Dell’Orco, will take the final bow.
The Emporio Armani Spring-Summer 2026 menswear collection will debut Saturday. The Giorgio Armani line will close Milan’s menswear showcase on Monday.
