Melania Trump stepped off Air Force One on Tuesday in London with husband Donald Trump. She turned heads at Stansted Airport in a sand-coloured Burberry coat. The double-breasted coat reached her ankles and tied neatly at the waist. She paired it with a black top and Dior riding boots. Her hair flowed in soft waves as she walked beside Donald.
This marked their first UK state visit since 2019. Donald told reporters the couple had a “great flight.” He praised the close bond with Britain, calling the relationship “outstanding.”
Praise for King Charles
Donald shared warm words for King Charles III. “They’re friends of mine for a long time, long before he was king. And it’s an honor to have him as king,” he said.
“I think he represents the country so well,” he added. “We’re going to see him tomorrow. He’s been a friend of mine for a long time, and everybody respects him and they love him.”
Royal Meetings and Banquet
The two-day visit will feature several high-profile events. A grand state banquet at Windsor Castle will take place Wednesday night. About 160 guests are expected, including Prince William, Princess Kate, and other senior royals.

Kate will accompany Melania on a walk through Frogmore Gardens. They will meet UK Scoutmaster Dwayne Fields and young Scouts. Queen Camilla will join Melania for a tour of Queen Mary’s Doll House and the Royal Library.
Family Joins the Visit
Donald’s daughter Tiffany Trump and her husband Michael Boulos also boarded Air Force One. They will attend events alongside the President and First Lady.
This trip makes Donald the first elected leader to receive two state visits to the UK.
A Historic Occasion
Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the event “unprecedented and very special.” He noted no leader had ever been invited twice before. “This is going to be a historic occasion,” he said. “It’s not just a state visit. It’s an unprecedented second state visit, so you can imagine just how special that’s going to be.”
Looking Back to 2019
Donald and Melania last visited in 2019 under Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. That trip included a banquet at Buckingham Palace with senior royals.
Speaking earlier this year, Donald shared his excitement about returning. “I was invited by the King and the country – great country,” he said. He called the event “a fest” and said it was an honour. “I have great respect for the family,” he added.
