Melania Trump joined a holiday event where she shared a light-hearted Christmas story with children. She arrived in a simple black-and-white outfit and greeted the crowd before explaining why Santa brought her along.
"You might be wondering why Santa asked me to bring him here today," she said. "Well, this wonderful adventure is filled with Christmas sparkle and lots of love. Santa's reindeer – Rudolph, Dasher, Comet, all of them – they're resting in the North Pole."
She continued her story with a cheerful update on Santa’s helpers. "They need to save all of their energy for their great flight around the world on Christmas Eve. Santa told me they're snuggled beneath warm, fluffy blankets, sipping candy cane cocoa, feeling the joy and love that will soon be shared with amazing children everywhere."
A Message Filled With Holiday Cheer
Melania closed her speech by encouraging the crowd to value kindness during the season. "This Christmas season, you, your friends, and your families should wish for the ultimate gift: love. After all, love travels further than Santa's sleigh. Thank you, and Merry Christmas, and happy and healthy New Year."
The event supported the long-running Toys for Tots program, which began in 1991. The program partners with the U.S. Marine Corps to brighten the holidays for children who face hardship.
A Visit to a Children’s Hospital
Melania continued her holiday schedule with a visit to a children’s hospital in Washington, D.C. on Friday. She read How Does Santa Go Down the Chimney to young patients and shared warm wishes with them.
"I'm sure Santa will visit all of you this Christmas and bring you a lot of toys, so I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year," she told the children. "I wish you a lot of strength and love."

She added that Donald Trump also sent his best wishes. After reading the story, she met with children in the audience and later visited patients in the hematology and oncology wing.
An Evening at the Kennedy Center
Melania also appeared at the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday. She wore a classic black gown with diamond accessories and black pumps. Her hair fell in soft waves, and she chose warm makeup with peach blush and a pink lip.
Donald Trump joined her in a black tuxedo and bow tie, marking one of their formal holiday outings this season.
A Busy and Bright Holiday Season
Melania continues her holiday events with a mix of charity, children’s visits, and formal gatherings. Her appearances bring together festive storytelling, community support, and traditional celebrations. As Christmas approaches, she shows a focus on spreading cheer, offering encouragement, and celebrating the season with families and children.
