The prestigious Bear's Club in Jupiter, Florida, is gearing up to host a formidable lineup of LIV and PGA Tour golfers on Monday, as they vie for qualification spots in the upcoming U.S. Open. This day, dubbed "Golf's Longest Day," promises intense competition as over 70 golfers strive to secure one of the three or four available spots for the season's third major championship at Pinehurst, North Carolina. Among the contenders are nine players from the Saudi-backed LIV Golf League and three local talents boasting a combined total of 18 PGA Tour victories.

Leading the charge for the LIV Golf League is Joaquin Niemann, who currently tops the league's individual standings. Niemann, having secured invitations to both the Masters and the PGA Championship, has showcased his skill on golf's grandest stages, finishing tied for 22nd and tied for 39th, respectively. Joining Niemann from the LIV Golf League are Dean Bermester, Branden Grace, Anirban Lahiri, Graeme McDowell, Mito Pereira, Charl Schwartzel, Cameron Tringale, and Peter Uihlein, with all except McDowell calling Palm Beach County home.

Adding to the star-studded lineup is former world No. 1 Luke Donald, who aims to qualify for his 15th U.S. Open appearance. The 46-year-old Englishman, a resident of Jupiter, brings a wealth of experience to the table, having previously captained the European Ryder Cup team to victory over the U.S. in Rome last year. Donald has also been named captain for the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York. Joining Donald in the qualification quest are Daniel Berger and Matt Kuchar, both accomplished PGA Tour veterans with numerous titles to their names.

The Bear's Club is one of ten locations hosting final qualifying events on Monday, with nine situated in the U.S. and one in Canada. The grueling 36-hole qualifiers, held on "Golf's Longest Day," present a stern test for competitors aiming to secure a coveted spot in the U.S. Open field. However, the qualifier at The Bear's Club will not be open to the public.

The U.S. Open is scheduled to take place from June 13 to June 16 at Pinehurst No. 2. Notably, LIV Golf currently boasts ten players in the U.S. Open field, including Eugenio Chacarra, who will be making his major championship debut after successfully qualifying on May 20 at the Dallas Athletic Club.

Additionally, several players have earned exemptions to the U.S. Open, including Bryson DeChambeau, Tyrrell Hatton, Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer, Brooks Koepka, Adrian Meronk, Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, and Cameron Smith. With such a strong lineup of competitors vying for qualification, the stage is set for an enthralling day of golf at Bear's Club.
