Air Canada is expanding its service to India for the winter of 2024-2025, increasing the number of seats by 40%. This expansion includes 25 weekly flights, totaling 7,400 seats per week between Canada and India. Key highlights of the new services include the launch of non-stop flights between Canada and Mumbai, with four weekly flights from Toronto starting October 27. Additionally, Air Canada will introduce a new daily seasonal service between Calgary and Delhi via London Heathrow, enhancing connectivity between Western Canada and India. The frequency of flights between Montreal and Delhi will also increase to daily, representing a 44% capacity boost on the route. Passengers can expect easy connections between Vancouver, London Heathrow, and Delhi during the winter season.

Mark Galardo, Air Canada's General Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning, emphasized the significance of the Indian market for the airline, citing the strong familial and business ties between Canada and India. Galardo expressed excitement about expanding the airline's network to Mumbai and Delhi, noting the timing of the expansion to coincide with Diwali celebrations in the fall.

The Toronto-Mumbai route will be serviced by a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, featuring Air Canada Signature Class, Privilege Economy Class, and Economy Class. The schedule has been designed to facilitate convenient connections throughout North America via Air Canada's main international hub.

Meanwhile, the Calgary-London Heathrow-Delhi route will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, offering Air Canada Signature Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class. This route has been adjusted to optimize Air Canada's daily Vancouver-London Heathrow service, providing seamless connections to and from Delhi.

The flight schedules for both routes are subject to government approvals. Passengers can now book seats for these flights, including through travel agencies.

Overall, Air Canada's expansion of its service to India demonstrates its commitment to serving the growing demand for travel between the two countries. With increased frequency and capacity on key routes, the airline aims to provide passengers with more options and seamless connectivity for their journeys.
