A leaked image of the iPhone 16's camera module hints at a vertical camera setup, a departure from the horizontal layout seen since the iPhone 12. The iPhone 16 lineup, reportedly comprising five models, could see the 6.7-inch Plus model replaced by a "Plus SE" variant.
A leaked image shared by a user on the microblogging platform X, formerly Twitter, appears to confirm the vertical camera layout for the iPhone 16. MacRumors, having verified the authenticity of the leaked I-34 camera project component through industry sources, adds credibility to these claims.
The same user recently leaked renders of the iPhone 16 series, suggesting the launch of five models: iPhone 16 SE, iPhone 16 Plus SE, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The iPhone SE models are depicted with a single rear camera, while the standard iPhone 16 has two, arranged vertically. The high-end iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are shown with a vertically aligned triple rear camera layout. However, the source of these images remains unverified.
