All the cocoa used in Feastables' chocolate now comes from farms certified by Fairtrade. Feastables

Feastables has announced that all the cocoa used in its chocolate now comes from Fairtrade certified cooperatives. This means every bar of chocolate from Feastables meets strong rules that support farmers and the environment.

The Fairtrade certification helps make sure farmers get paid fairly. It also protects the planet and helps farm workers and their families live better lives.

MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, is the founder of Feastables. He explained the need for change in how chocolate is made. “The status quo of the big chocolate sector means nearly half of all children living in cocoa communities in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire are engaged in illegal child labor,” he said.

MrBeast added that Feastables was created to change how things work in cocoa-growing regions. “We’re going to use the incredible network of our fans to create chocolate that people can afford and that also pays farmers fairly, so kids don’t have to work,” he said.

The chocolate industry makes billions of dollars every year. Yet, many cocoa farmers earn less than $1 a day. Amanda Archila, Executive Director of Fairtrade America, pointed out how unfair this is. “Cocoa farmer livelihoods are on the line,” she said.

She explained that many farmers in West Africa face big problems. These include low crop prices, climate change, and aging trees. Most farmers do not get their fair share of the profits from chocolate.

Amanda said that Feastables is showing leadership by working with Fairtrade. “They are going a step further by paying the Fairtrade Living Income Reference Price,” she said. This helps farmers earn enough to support their families and farm in better ways.

Feastables believes this move will also connect better with customers around the world. Today, 71% of shoppers recognize the Fairtrade mark. Even better, 86% of people trust it.

Fairtrade works with over 2 million farmers in 70 countries. Its logo is seen and trusted across the globe.

Alex Zigliara, CEO of Feastables, also shared his thoughts. “It is an absolute honor for Feastables to be working with Fairtrade,” he said. He added, “We know this is meaningful for our customers and helps us achieve our purpose of getting children off working farms and into schools.”

Feastables is focused on changing the cocoa industry in a big way. Their goal is to get 1.5 million kids out of child labor and into classrooms.

As part of its plan, Feastables is doing three big things. First, it now only buys Fairtrade certified cocoa. Second, it always pays farmers the Living Income Reference Price. And third, it works with farms that have systems in place to stop child labor.

Feastables also invests in local communities. They help improve schools, support children’s health, and give farmers the tools and help they need.

Customers will start seeing the Fairtrade label on Feastables chocolate by Summer 2025. People who want certified chocolate should check the packaging before buying.
