Jimmy John’s is bringing back its viral Picklewich, and this time it’s even bigger. The pickle-based sandwich, which turned into an internet sensation last year, returns across Canada and the U.S. on October 27. Fans can choose from six different versions, making this comeback one of the brand’s biggest limited-time launches yet.

The lineup now includes the Vito, Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Tuna, and Veggie Picklewiches. Each comes with the new Pickle Ranch dipping sauce, plus the return of Pickle Jimmy Chips. For those who want it all, the Triple Pickle Meal bundles a Picklewich, chips, and sauce in one crunchy combo. Members of the JJ Rewards program get early access from October 24 to 26.

Pickles Take Centre Stage

Instead of bread, the Picklewich uses two hollowed-out pickle halves as the base. Each sandwich fills the “pickle bun” with classic Jimmy John’s ingredients for a bold, tangy bite.

The Vito Picklewich features salami, capocollo, provolone, and veggies with oil and vinegar. The Turkey version stacks turkey, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. New options this year include Ham, Roast Beef, Tuna, and Veggie — each served in a crisp, juicy pickle shell.

“Jimmy John’s fans are freaks for our Jimmy Pickles, and last year, the Picklewich took the internet by storm,” said Kate Carpenter, vice president of marketing. “We’ve created a pickle-lover’s dream that delivers bold, signature flavours that only Jimmy John’s could deliver.”

New Sauces and Crunchy Add-Ons

The new Pickle Ranch dipping sauce pairs perfectly with any Picklewich. Jimmy John’s also brings back the Pickle Jimmy Chips, which add another layer of crunch and flavour. Together, they form the Triple Pickle Meal — the ultimate set for pickle enthusiasts.

This comeback taps into a growing trend among fast-food chains offering fun, limited-edition twists on popular items. The Picklewich fits the trend perfectly, combining familiar flavours in a fresh, quirky way.

Pop Star Joins the Fun

To celebrate the launch, Jimmy John’s teamed up with singer Demi Lovato for a lighthearted digital campaign. Lovato appears with her dog, Pickles, who steals the spotlight dressed in a pickle costume. The playful promotion continues the brand’s social media success from last year, when pickle-related posts flooded feeds across multiple platforms.

PickleCon and the Pickle Craze

Before the national rollout, the company hosted its first-ever PickleCon in New York City on October 22. Fans and media gathered to enjoy early tastings, games, and pickle-themed fun.

The timing matches the growing craze for pickle flavours in 2025. From snacks and dips to drinks and condiments, pickles are having a cultural moment. Data shows that more people — especially women — are leading online conversations about pickle-inspired foods, proving the flavour’s broad appeal.

The new Picklewich lineup, along with Pickle Ranch, Pickle Jimmy Chips, and the Triple Pickle Meal, launches nationwide on October 27. Fans can order in-store, online, or through the app.
