Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is up next on PS4 and PS5

Sony has revealed the first PlayStation Plus game lineup of 2026, giving subscribers a strong start to the year. Beginning January 6, members will be able to download three titles at no extra cost: Need for Speed Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper.

The games will remain available to claim through February 2, giving players several weeks to add them to their libraries.

A Reminder for December Titles

Before January’s lineup goes live, PlayStation Plus members still have time to claim December’s free games. Those titles remain available until January 5. Once claimed, they stay playable as long as the subscription remains active.

High-Speed Racing Takes the Lead

Headlining the January selection is Need for Speed Unbound on PlayStation 5. Released in 2022, the game blends arcade-style racing with a bold animated visual flair.

Players compete in separate single-player and online multiplayer campaigns. The goal is simple but demanding. Outsmart rival racers. Evade relentless police chases. Qualify for weekly events. Earn a spot in The Grand, the game’s ultimate street racing showdown set in Lakeshore City.

While the core gameplay follows familiar franchise foundations, the striking art style sets this entry apart from earlier releases.

A Disney Classic Returns

Also joining the lineup is Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game is a modern remake of the 2010 cult favorite that originally launched on the Nintendo Wii.

Players step into the role of Mickey Mouse and explore the Wasteland. The mysterious world is home to forgotten Disney characters and reimagined environments. One highlight is the return of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Disney’s first breakout character before Mickey’s creation.

The remake updates visuals, controls, and performance, giving the adventure a contemporary feel while preserving its original charm.

Sandbox Adventure With Friends

Rounding out the lineup is Core Keeper, also available on PS4 and PS5. The game supports solo play or groups of up to eight players.

Set in an underground world, the mining sandbox adventure focuses on exploration, crafting, and base-building. Players gather resources, uncover relics, and unlock new areas as the environment evolves.

The timing is notable. Later in January, Core Keeper will receive a major content update titled Void & Voltage. The update introduces a new biome, a powerful boss encounter, expanded automation tools, and additional systems. The PlayStation Plus release offers newcomers an ideal entry point ahead of that expansion.

A Strong Start to the Year

With a mix of high-octane racing, nostalgic platforming, and deep sandbox exploration, January’s PlayStation Plus lineup offers something for every type of player.

All three games will be available to download starting January 6. Subscribers have until February 2 to claim them.
