Starbucks has unveiled its exciting new holiday cup collection, just in time for the festive season. With the holiday celebrations set to kick off on November 7, the company aims to spread joy among its customers as they enjoy their favorite beverages, whether hot or cold.
Kristy Cameron, Starbucks’ creative director, shared her enthusiasm about the new designs. She stated, “We love finding these genuine moments of joy and coffee to inspire the creative.” She explained that the new cups capture various festive themes, from coffee trees growing and beans roasting to cups toasting and lights glowing. The goal is to share the warmth of the coffeehouse experience and the excitement that comes with the arrival of the iconic red cups.

This year's cups feature a delightful color scheme that blends the brand's traditional green with a vibrant cranberry red, perfectly setting the festive mood. Cameron expressed excitement about incorporating more greens this season, saying, “The jade green is so vibrant and bright, and we love how it references our brand colors in a way that brings a spark of joy to our holiday cups this season.”

The theme for this year's collection, “Merrier Together,” reflects the spirit of community that the holidays embody. It highlights how people come together to celebrate through music and song. Cameron elaborated on this theme, mentioning, “We kept thinking about this notion of voices coming together, like our siren singing. It feels musical in a way.”

Starbucks has designed a total of five unique cup styles for the holiday season, offering customers a choice between four hot beverage cups and one cold drink cup. Let’s take a closer look at this year’s lineup:

  1. Warm Wishes: This design celebrates connection, with cups coming together to say “cheers” to each other. The interconnected dots evoke the image of glowing holiday lights, representing the joy of enjoying coffee with friends and family.

It showcases vibrant, flowing lines that resemble holiday ribbons and the lush green hills where coffee is cultivated. The alternating colors of red, green, and pink create a lively visual, reminiscent of beautifully wrapped gifts.

  1. Siren Chorus: This cup pays tribute to Starbucks’ iconic logo, the siren, as well as the process of coffee bean production. The design features striped holiday charms that draw inspiration from the patterns formed when coffee beans are spread out in the sun to dry.
