Jennifer Lopez and Jharrel Jerome are set to star in the upcoming wrestling biopic Unstoppable, which tells the inspiring true story of Anthony Robles.
On Thursday, Amazon MGM Studios revealed the first images from the film, directed by William Goldenberg. The movie focuses on the life of wrestler Anthony Robles (portrayed by Jerome), who was born with only one leg yet defied the odds to win a national wrestling championship in 2011 while representing Arizona State University.

Lopez takes on the role of Anthony’s mother, Judy, while Bobby Cannavale plays his father, Rick. The cast also includes Michael Peña as coach Bobby Williams and Don Cheadle as wrestling coach Shawn Charles, creating a powerful ensemble to bring this remarkable story to life.
Despite being born without a right leg, Robles achieved what many thought impossible by becoming an NCAA Division 1 Champion wrestler. His ultimate triumph came when he won a national championship against Iowa, a powerhouse wrestling school that had initially rejected him—a detail highlighted in the film’s synopsis.
Unstoppable is produced by Lopez’s husband, Ben Affleck, through Artists Equity, the production company he co-founded with Matt Damon. Anthony Robles himself contributed to the film as a producer and even stepped in as Jerome’s stunt double for the wrestling scenes, ensuring the authenticity of the action.
The film marks the directorial debut of William Goldenberg, who has previously earned an Academy Award for editing Argo in 2013, along with Oscar nominations for The Imitation Game, Zero Dark Thirty, Seabiscuit, and The Insider.
Based on the book Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion by Robles and Murphy, the biopic is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, followed by a limited theatrical release in December.
