The wait for the third season of Invincible is finally over, with the new season set to release on February 6. The early reviews from critics are overwhelmingly positive, with many praising it as one of the best shows to stream right now. Currently, Invincible Season 3 holds a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes from a group of 12 critics, a promising start for the show’s newest season.

Invincible, known for its animated superhero action and intense violence, has become a major hit for Amazon Prime. Its success has been surprising, especially given the genre. Critics have showered the show with praise across all three seasons, with Season 1 receiving a 98% score, and Season 2 hitting a 100% rating as well. With Season 3 now holding that same perfect score, the series seems to be making its mark as one of the most critically acclaimed shows on the platform.

It’s especially notable for an animated superhero show to achieve this level of praise. Shows like Netflix’s Arcane and Cyberpunk Edgerunners also reached near-perfect ratings, showing that there’s a growing appreciation for mature animated series in the superhero genre. Invincible continues to defy expectations, providing an engaging mix of brutal action and deep storytelling that resonates with both critics and fans.

Season 3 of Invincible is expected to take the craziness even further. With its origins in comic books, fans can expect even wilder moments to come. There’s speculation that the show could push boundaries even more than in previous seasons, especially given the shocking moments in the comic book source material. However, the show will likely stay true to its roots and not shy away from the wild twists that fans expect.

Creator Robert Kirkman has expressed his ambition for the show, promising that Invincible will span eight full seasons, satisfyingly concluding the story. He assured fans that the long waits between seasons, like the two-and-a-half-year gap between Seasons 1 and 2, will not happen again. Fans can also expect no more splits in seasons, like the 4.5-month break between episodes of Season 2.

Despite the usual uncertainties that come with long-running shows, Invincible’s success seems to ensure that Amazon will support it for the long haul. With at least a decade of content on the horizon, fans can get ready for more wild, action-packed stories as the show continues to push boundaries in the superhero genre.
