Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson to host a new weekly podcast.
Michelle Obama and her brother, Craig Robinson, are set to debut a brand-new weekly podcast this month. The show, titled “IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson,” will feature engaging conversations with guests from various fields, including entertainment, sports, health, and business.
A Podcast for Meaningful Conversations
According to a press release, the podcast will tackle everyday questions about life, relationships, and the world. The title, IMO, stands for "in my opinion," reflecting the show’s casual and insightful approach to discussions.
Listeners can expect dynamic conversations with notable figures, including actors Issa Rae and Keke Palmer and psychologist Dr. Orna Guralnik. The lineup also features filmmakers Seth and Lauren Rogan, soccer star Abby Wambach, and authors Jay Shetty, Glennon Doyle, and Logan Ury. Other guests include Tyler Perry, Tracee Ellis Ross, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, and Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky.
Premiere Date and Availability
The first two episodes will be released on March 12. The debut episode will introduce the show, while the second will feature a conversation with Issa Rae. New episodes will drop weekly on all major audio platforms and YouTube.
A Podcast to Offer Hope
Michelle Obama emphasized the importance of open discussions in today’s uncertain world. “We’re all looking for answers and people to turn to,” she stated. She believes conversations about family, faith, and personal challenges can provide hope and guidance.
The Obamas’ Podcast Legacy
This isn’t Michelle Obama’s first time hosting a podcast. She previously led “The Michelle Obama Podcast” in 2020 and “The Light We Carry” in 2023. Meanwhile, Barack Obama co-hosted a series of discussions with Bruce Springsteen about American life.
Produced by Higher Ground, the media company founded by the former president and first lady in 2018, this new podcast aims to continue their tradition of insightful and thought-provoking content.
