Gal Gadot’s Hollywood journey has come full circle. Nearly two decades after first visiting the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a young aspiring actress, Gal Gadot now has a star of her own. On March 18, 2025, the Wonder Woman star was officially honored with a place among Hollywood’s legends.

Gadot, who once marveled at the Walk of Fame as a 23-year-old, still finds it hard to believe. “It’s surreal. I never imagined this path for myself, and I feel incredibly grateful,” she said.

From Law Student to Hollywood Star

Acting was not part of Gadot’s original plan. She trained as a dancer for 12 years and later pursued law while modeling on the side. Her unexpected career shift began when she auditioned for a Bond girl role in Quantum of Solace. Though she didn’t land the part, the experience ignited her passion for acting.

Her big break came with Fast & Furious, where she played ex-Mossad agent Gisele Yashar. The role put her on Hollywood’s radar, leading to appearances in Knight and Day, Triple 9, and Keeping Up With the Joneses.

The Role That Changed Everything for Gal Gadot

Gadot’s career skyrocketed when director Zack Snyder cast her as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She later led two solo Wonder Woman films, directed by Patty Jenkins, cementing her status as a global superstar.

“To bring Wonder Woman to life was an incredible journey,” Gadot shared. “Patty and I wanted to tell a story that celebrated a strong yet vulnerable female hero, and the world was ready for it.”

Jenkins, who presented Gadot’s star at the ceremony, praised her both as an actress and a person. “She’s not just a great performer—she embodies the qualities of a true star, on-screen and off,” Jenkins said.

A Thriving Career Beyond Wonder Woman

Although DC Studios shelved plans for a third Wonder Woman film, Gadot has continued to thrive. She has starred in major productions like Red Notice and Heart of Stone and has several upcoming projects.

One of her latest ventures includes playing the Evil Queen in Marc Webb’s live-action Snow White. “Stepping into a villain’s shoes was a new challenge for me. It was theatrical, grand, and incredibly fun,” she said.

She is also set to lead the action-packed The Runner and star in In the Hand of Dante, proving her versatility. “Exploring different characters and understanding their journeys is the most exciting part of acting,” she said.

Using Her Voice for Humanity

While Gadot prefers to focus on entertainment rather than politics, she has spoken out on humanitarian issues. Following the October 7, 2023, attacks in Israel, she used her platform to advocate for victims.

“I’m an artist, and my goal is to bring hope. But in moments of crisis, I couldn’t stay silent,” she explained.

As the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor and an eighth-generation Israeli, Gadot feels a deep connection to these issues. “My compass is clear, and my conscience is clean. I stand for humanity and peace.”

While the event was a moment of celebration, it was not without controversy. A group of protesters gathered near the ceremony, voicing their opposition to Gadot’s public support for Israel. Some carried signs and chanted slogans, criticizing her stance on political and humanitarian issues.

Despite the demonstration, the ceremony proceeded as planned. Gadot remained composed and focused on the honor, expressing gratitude to her fans and supporters.

Looking Ahead

Now a mother of four, Gadot is exploring acting opportunities in her native Hebrew. “Performing in my first language would be a unique experience—completely freeing,” she shared.

As she basks in the honor of receiving her Hollywood Walk of Fame star, her journey is far from over. “This is a dream come true, but there’s so much more I want to do. I’m excited for what’s next.”
