Olivia Munn popped up unexpectedly on “The Daily Show” Wednesday night to explain that President Donald Trump’s big tariff decisions had nothing to do with fixing trade issues. Yahoo!

Olivia Munn surprised viewers on Wednesday night by showing up early on a popular comedy show. She walked in during host Desi Lydic’s opening segment and wasted no time going after former President Donald Trump. Her jokes focused on Trump’s recent decision to pause global tariffs for 90 days while raising them heavily on China.

The host looked confused and asked about Trump’s new tariff plan. That’s when Munn jumped in with full sarcasm. She joked that Trump had a master plan all along. According to her, “Trump destroyed the global economy with tariffs, then removed them so now it’s only mostly destroyed.”

Munn then jokingly explained Trump’s “strategy.” She said other countries would now rush to make better trade deals with the U.S. just to avoid more tariffs. That, she added, would magically bring America’s trade deficit to zero. The whole situation, she made clear, didn’t make much real-world sense — but that was the joke.

Lydic asked if the end goal was to get rid of tariffs completely. Munn bluntly said, “No, b---h,” before launching into an exaggerated fake plan. She joked that the next step would be to slam countries with 400% tariffs, bomb their factories, and even eat penguins on a random island — all to pressure the world into begging for better terms.

The conversation got even wilder. Lydic asked why this ridiculous plan would help the U.S. trade deficit. Munn said it wasn’t about trade at all. “This is all to make up for Donald Trump’s enormous deficit of attention and love,” she said.

Munn compared Trump to a lonely boy who just wants the world to notice him. She joked that once the world gave him the attention he craves, the tariffs would finally go away. But Lydic doubted that would ever happen. “There’s not enough attention in the world,” she said. Munn agreed, once again ending with, “Exactly, b---h.”

The crowd laughed throughout their back-and-forth. Munn’s surprise appearance turned into a bold and playful takedown of Trump’s shifting tariff moves. The segment used comedy to highlight confusion and criticism around the decision, while keeping things light and humorous.
