Pope Francis’s funeral set for saturday at St. Peter’s Square, Here’s how to watch

Pope Francis passed away on Monday at the age of 88. His funeral will be held this Saturday in St. Peter’s Square, beginning at 10 a.m. local time in Vatican City (4 a.m. ET).

As the world prepares to bid farewell, mourners from all corners of the globe are expected to attend. The late pontiff, originally from Latin America, made history as the first to come from the region.

Canada will be officially represented by Governor General Mary Simon, while Prime Minister Mark Carney continues his federal election campaign.

CTV News Coverage with Canadian Experts

Omar Sachedina, CTV’s chief anchor, will lead the broadcast. He’ll be joined by Vatican correspondents and Canadian academic Dr. Michael Higgins.
