‘Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’ Set to Dazzle with Star-Studded Cast and a Bold New Twist. 'Now You See Me: Now You Don’t' Lionsgate
The Four Horsemen are back. Lionsgate’s upcoming third film, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, reunites the original magicians—Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco. This time, the franchise also welcomes a wave of fresh talent, including Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt.
So is the mind-bending magic that turned the Now You See Me films into global hits.
Magic Meets Marketing in Times Square
To launch the trailer, the cast pulled off a real-world stunt in the heart of Times Square. In a twist straight out of the films, Lionsgate staged a “visual heist” and gave away $250,000 in digital payments. Fans who called or texted a number displayed on a mysterious billboard were rewarded with cash—adding a literal payoff to the promo.
An Expanded Cast of Power Players
The upcoming film adds even more star power with the inclusion of Rosamund Pike and Morgan Freeman. Ruben Fleischer, known for Venom and Zombieland, directs the film. The screenplay is penned by a team of seasoned writers: Seth Grahame-Smith, Michael Lesslie, Paul Wernick, and Rhett Reese. The story is based on a concept by Eric Warren Singer.

The official synopsis keeps things under wraps. It simply promises a return of the Four Horsemen, now joined by a new generation of illusionists. Viewers can expect “mind-melding twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film.”
A Decade of Illusions
The Now You See Me journey began in 2013 with a film directed by Louis Leterrier. A 2016 sequel followed under director Jon M. Chu. Over the years, the franchise has featured big names like Mark Ruffalo, Daniel Radcliffe, Lizzy Caplan, Michael Caine, and Common. Even legendary magician David Copperfield co-produced the second film.
Jesse Eisenberg on the Franchise's Appeal
Back in 2016, Eisenberg told IndieWire that the franchise always had room to grow. “It’s a world that feels worthy of extension,” he said. “There is a great ensemble of actors and a topic that seems fresh enough to continue.”
