Celebrity Chef in Court
Quebec chef Giovanni Apollo, whose real name is Jean-Claude Apollo, has been charged with serious crimes. He faces accusations of sexually assaulting his daughter, Coralie. She is now 27 years old.

Apollo is 55. He appeared in court on Friday in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. The hearing was for formal charges related to incidents that allegedly happened years ago.

Alleged Crimes Spanned Several Years
The charges say the assaults took place in Quebec’s Montérégie region. The alleged events happened between 2011 and 2017. At that time, Coralie was a young teenager.

He now faces five criminal charges. These include two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, and one count of sexual exploitation.

Well-Known Public Figure
Apollo is a familiar face on television. Many know him from his cooking show, Apollo dans l’frigo. He also wrote and published several cookbooks.

Over the years, he built a public image as a skilled and creative chef. But his reputation has been questioned more than once.

Past Controversies Resurface
Back in 2017, Apollo faced public scrutiny. A major newspaper revealed he had given false information about his background. He claimed he was born and raised in an Italian village. In reality, he was born in Bourg-en-Bresse, France.

Later that year, Apollo posted a response online. “It may be that some parts of my personal life might have been romanticized,” he wrote. He admitted some facts about his past had been twisted.

Sexual Harassment Claims Also Emerged
That same year, he also faced other accusations. A different news report revealed claims of sexual harassment and intimidation. Former colleagues accused him of disturbing behavior in the workplace.

Apollo strongly denied those claims. He signed an affidavit saying the accusations were false. “With respect to the allegations of psychological harassment and of a sexual nature, I reiterate that I have never committed such acts,” he wrote.

Current Case Moves Forward
The current legal case is more serious. The court will now review the charges related to his daughter. The hearings will continue in the coming weeks.

The case has caught public attention across Quebec. Many people followed Apollo’s TV career. Now, they are shocked by the disturbing details emerging in court.

Authorities have not released further comments at this time. Apollo’s legal team has also stayed quiet on the charges.

As the case unfolds, more details are expected to come out in court. The community watches closely as a once-celebrated chef now stands accused of horrifying crimes.
