A strange incident occurred on a flight from San Francisco to London on Sunday, May 25. A 41-year-old man began acting in a troubling way during the journey. The cabin crew noticed that something wasn’t right and contacted authorities before landing.
The police at London’s Heathrow Airport got the call at 9:32 a.m. local time. Officers were waiting when the plane landed. They immediately took the man to a hospital for a medical check. After that, they arrested him on suspicion of being unfit for duty. Authorities confirmed that he was later released but remains under investigation.
Missing from duties, found in odd state
According to people familiar with the flight, the man worked on board. He was supposed to help with meal service, but staff noticed he had disappeared. When they looked for him, they found him in the business class bathroom. He was reportedly naked and dancing inside.
Other crew members stepped in and dressed him in a pair of pajamas meant for first-class passengers. They then moved him to a first-class seat and made sure he stayed there until the plane landed. One crew member shared that the man may have taken pills while working, which may have caused his strange behavior.
Colleagues shocked by actions
Several crew members described the situation as bizarre and troubling. One person said they had never seen anything like it in all their years on the job. “The plane was flying at 37,000 feet, but this guy seemed higher than that,” they said. “It’s not only risky but also a wild way to end a career.”
Crew members expressed concern about the safety risks such behavior can bring on a flight. They said it's unusual and dangerous for anyone on duty to act this way. They also noted how unpredictable and stressful the job can be, but no one expected a “one-man disco” in a bathroom.
