Elon Musk says Steve Bannon’s name appears in the Epstein documents. The Daily Beast

Elon Musk has publicly named Steve Bannon in connection with the ongoing scandal around Jeffrey Epstein’s files. On Tuesday, Musk responded to a social media post claiming that Bannon had contact with Epstein even after his 2019 arrest. Musk wrote simply: “Bannon is in the Epstein files.”

This comment has added fuel to growing speculation around who may be named in documents linked to Epstein’s life and crimes.

Bannon’s Connection to Epstein

Steve Bannon, a former advisor to Donald Trump, met with Epstein several times in 2019. Reports say Bannon visited Epstein in both Paris and New York. He claimed he was filming a documentary to expose Epstein’s crimes.

But Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, said Bannon had a different motive. He believed Bannon was trying to help fix Epstein’s public image.

Author Michael Wolff backed this claim in his book, saying Bannon coached Epstein on how to deal with the media. He reportedly told Epstein things like: “You’re not threatening, you’re friendly, you don’t look creepy.”

The meetings happened just months before Epstein was jailed in July 2019.

Musk's Past Comments on Epstein

This isn’t the first time Musk has spoken about Epstein. In May, during a public clash with Donald Trump, Musk claimed the former president also appeared in Epstein’s files. Trump denied the claim, saying he had cut ties with Epstein years earlier and had no part in his crimes.

Musk later admitted he went too far with the Trump comment. Still, the issue didn’t die down.

Frustration Among Trump Supporters

Many of Trump’s supporters hoped his return to power would expose secrets surrounding Epstein. But a memo from the FBI and Justice Department has disputed claims that there is a client list ready to be released.

On Tuesday, Musk challenged Trump again. He questioned why the files haven’t been made public. “How can people be expected to have faith in Trump if he won’t release the Epstein files?” Musk posted.

Heated Cabinet Meeting Follows

Trump faced tough questions about Epstein during a recent cabinet meeting. He ended the discussion quickly, brushing off concerns. Attorney General Pam Bondi, who earlier claimed she had access to a client list, had to correct her statement. She admitted she did not have such a list on her desk, as she had once said.

No Response from Bannon Yet

So far, Bannon has not commented on Musk’s claims. His lawyer has also not responded to media requests.

With emotions running high and new names being thrown into the mix, the controversy around Epstein’s files continues to grow. Many are now calling for more transparency and answers.
