Rhea Seehorn is coming back to TV in a new show made by Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad. This upcoming series will be available on Apple TV+. Comic Book Resources
Rhea Seehorn, best known as Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul, is teaming up again with Vince Gilligan, the creator behind Breaking Bad. The pair are working on a fresh series for Apple TV+. Though still untitled, the new show promises to take viewers in a completely different direction.
A Glimpse into the Mysterious New Show
Apple TV+ recently shared a sneak peek of the upcoming series on its social media page. The teaser image shows a bright yellow background with a smiley face drawn using a cotton swab. The post included the message: “Happiness is Contagious.” While the image doesn’t give away much, it has sparked curiosity among fans.
A New Story Outside the Breaking Bad World
Unlike Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, this show doesn’t follow the same storyline or universe. Rhea Seehorn will play a brand-new character. Details about the plot remain tightly under wraps, but the show has already been approved for two seasons. Early reports describe it as a “fun, mild sci-fi series,” though Apple has not shared more clues.
Vince Gilligan Praises Seehorn’s Talent
Vince Gilligan expressed excitement about the new project. He said, “I’m excited for audiences to see Rhea play a very different character than the character she played on Better Call Saul." He added, “She’s trying very hard to be good. She’s a bit of a damaged hero, but she’s a hero nonetheless.” Gilligan praised Seehorn’s performance and called her kind, talented, and a joy to work with.
Set in a Familiar City
The new series will take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico—the same city where Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were set. While Seehorn’s character Kim Wexler never appeared in Breaking Bad, she became one of the most beloved characters in the franchise thanks to her strong role in Better Call Saul.
Strong Hopes for the Upcoming Series
Rhea Seehorn received a Primetime Emmy nomination for her role in the final season of Better Call Saul. Fans are eager to see her shine again in this upcoming project. With two confirmed seasons and a creative team that includes Gilligan, hopes are high.
Premiere Date Still Unknown
As of now, Apple TV+ has not announced when the show will premiere. But with such a strong team and high anticipation, viewers can expect a compelling and refreshing experience once it arrives.
