A man lost his life on Sunday while trying to set a speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The fatal crash happened during the well-known "SpeedWeek" racing event.

The driver was 60-year-old Chris Raschke. He was taking part in the event organized by the Southern California Timing Association (SCTA). Raschke was aiming for a new land speed record when the crash happened.
