Gaga Steps Into Wednesday’s World

Lady Gaga has officially entered the spooky universe of Wednesday. The pop superstar, long admired for her bold style and theatrical presence, will appear in the second season of the hit Netflix series. She not only plays a role in the show but also releases a brand new track to go with it.

Back in season one, Gaga’s song Bloody Mary went viral on TikTok. Fans used it to recreate Wednesday Addams’ haunting dance scene, and it quickly became the unofficial anthem of the show. Now, the connection has come full circle with Gaga becoming part of the story itself.

Surprise Fan Announcement

Gaga made the big reveal on August 28 during a fan event. She announced her new song The Dead Dance, which ties directly into the second season’s storyline. She also confirmed her cameo appearance, where she will play Rosaline Rotwood, a teacher at Nevermore Academy.

Dressed in a dramatic gothic look, Gaga stole the spotlight at the event. She wore a corseted Victorian-inspired gown with sheer sleeves and matching pantaloons. Her platform heels towered above the crowd, and a huge cobweb-like headpiece completed the outfit. Her bleached blonde hair hung in ghostly waves around her face, paired with dark lipstick and eyeshadow. The look was pure Addams Family chic.

Co-Star Praise

Jenna Ortega, who stars as Wednesday and also works as a producer, shared her excitement about Gaga’s involvement.

“If you’re into Wednesday, if you’re into Lady Gaga, you should be very excited to see her in Part 2—it really works," Ortega said. "She’s unbelievable. She’s one of the few, rare instances of someone who is so clearly doing what they’re meant to be doing. Just being able to watch her and take her in is a surreal experience.”

Ortega also posed with Gaga at the event, sparking a wave of excitement among fans who were thrilled to see the two gothic icons together.

Tim Burton Applauds Gaga

Legendary filmmaker Tim Burton, who directs and produces the series, praised Gaga for her contribution.

“I’ve been a fan of her work for a long time. She makes great music, and she’s a great actress, so for me it was very easy,” Burton said. “She’s a real artist, and I’m grateful for what she contributed to the show.”

A Perfect Match

With her flair for dramatic style and her ability to bring intensity to any role, Gaga seems like a natural fit for the Wednesday world. Her character, Rosaline Rotwood, is set to play an important part in Wednesday Addams’ journey at Nevermore.

Between her role and the release of The Dead Dance, Gaga’s presence ensures season two will capture even more attention than the first. Fans of both Gaga and Wednesday have plenty to look forward to.
