Tim Hortons has launched a nationwide celebration after Team Canada captured its first gold medal at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. The coffee chain now offers a Free 10-Pack of Timbits with a minimum $5 purchase through its mobile app.
The promotion marks the beginning of a broader partnership between Tim Hortons and the Canadian Olympic Committee. The new agreement spans eight years and aims to support Canadian athletes while bringing fans closer to the Olympic spirit.
Celebrating Gold With Canadians
When Team Canada wins gold, Tims Rewards members will receive special digital offers. The company confirmed that members can claim a Free 10-Pack of Timbits with a $5 purchase in the app following gold medal victories. Hockey fans can also expect additional offers if Canada secures gold in men’s or women’s hockey.
The celebration extends beyond food promotions. Tim Hortons will serve its coffee to Team Canada athletes, coaches, staff, and families at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games. The company says it hopes to offer a comforting reminder of home during competition abroad.
“We're proud that our iconic red Tims cups will be a familiar sight at Canada Olympic House Celebration Series and that we'll be serving our coffee to Team Canada throughout the 2026 Olympic Winter Games,” said Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer for Tim Hortons.
“And here at home, we're launching a series of exciting initiatives to celebrate Team Canada's achievements with our guests and what's sure to be a thrilling collective moment of national pride.”
A Long-Term Commitment to Canadian Sport
The new partnership strengthens Tim Hortons’ support for sports across the country. The company already invests in youth programs such as Timbits Hockey and Soccer, which encourage children to stay active.
The agreement with the Canadian Olympic Committee will run for eight years. Officials say it aims to provide meaningful support to athletes at different stages of their Olympic journeys.
“We are so excited for Tim Hortons to join Team Canada in this historic partnership,” said Jacqueline Ryan, Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of the COC and CEO of the Canadian Olympic Foundation. “Tim Hortons is an iconic Canadian brand with a long history of supporting sport in Canada. This partnership furthers its investment in Canadian sport and will make a lasting impact on Canadian athletes at every stage of their Olympic journeys, while also providing exciting new opportunities for fans across the country to rally behind Team Canada this winter and over the next eight years.”
More Ways Fans Can Join the Celebration
Tim Hortons has introduced several initiatives to build excitement around Team Canada. A new hockey trading card collection highlights some of the country’s most memorable Olympic moments and players, including Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Brad Marchand, Sarah Nurse, and Marie-Philip Poulin. Select locations will host trading events later this month, giving fans a chance to swap cards and win prizes.
The company will also support public viewing parties in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary. Attendees can enjoy complimentary coffee while cheering on Canadian athletes.
Special Olympic-themed packaging and collectible reusable cups will appear in restaurants. Tims Rewards members can also access a Team Canada Fan Meal offer during the Games.
Through promotions, events, and long-term investment, Tim Hortons hopes to unite Canadians in celebration as Team Canada competes on the world stage.
