Actress Meagan Good expressed her contentment despite the tumultuous past two years during a chat with ET's Kevin Frazier at the NAACP Image Awards. While not directly addressing Jonathan Majors' recent legal issues, which include assault charges, Good shared her gratitude for her current state of happiness, even amidst the chaos.
Acknowledging the challenges she's faced, Good reflected, "I am happy, you know? It's really crazy. I mean, so much is going on. These past two years have been a crazy two years for me, but I'm happier than I've been in a long time, even with all the crazy." She credited her faith in God for guiding her through these trying times and expressed anticipation for what the future holds.
In December, Majors, known for his roles in "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," faced legal consequences, being found guilty of assault and harassment charges related to a domestic violence trial involving his ex-partner, Grace Jabbari. Despite the verdict, Majors and Good have maintained a low profile as they await his sentencing on April 8, where he could face up to a year in jail.
During the interview, Majors joined Good, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to support her amid his personal challenges. He highlighted the importance of being recognized and seen, especially after facing public consequences, including being removed from his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Despite the trial's outcome, Good has stood by Majors, visibly upset after the verdict was announced. Majors reiterated his innocence in a January interview with Good Morning America, denying any physical altercation with Jabbari and expressing a desire for clarity regarding her injuries.
Majors commended Good for her unwavering support throughout the trial and its aftermath, likening her to Coretta Scott King, the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. The couple, whose relationship first sparked rumors in 2023, made their red carpet debut in March, attending the African-American Film Critics Association Special Achievement Awards Luncheon hand-in-hand, signaling a public display of their bond.
