Travis Barker Showcases Pre-Concert Fitness Routine Ahead of Blink-182’s Major Stadium Show
Travis Barker of Blink-182 is giving fans an inside look into his pre-concert fitness regimen and wellness philosophy as the band embarks on their One More Time tour.
Barker recently participated in Run Travis Run, a special event held in the parking lot of the Kia Forum near Los Angeles. The event kicked off with a 5K run, where fans and fitness enthusiasts joined Barker. Organized by Mascot Sports and Live Nation, the event also featured fitness classes, mindfulness workshops, and various activities, including food trucks.
Kourtney Kardashian, Barker's wife, attended the event with friends, although she didn't quite keep pace with Barker during the 5K. Cameras captured moments from the event for the Kardashian family's Hulu reality series, The Kardashians.
Following its success in Los Angeles, Run Travis Run is scheduled to take place at Citi Field in Queens on July 21, just hours before Blink-182’s concert at the same venue later that evening. The event aims to support the Boys & Girls Club.
Reflecting on his journey, Barker shared, “After my accident in 2008, where over 70% of my body was burned, doctors told me I might never walk or drum again. I set out to prove them wrong, starting with short walks and eventually progressing to daily runs.”
He added, “Last year, I completed my first half marathon and participated in several 5Ks. The running community’s camaraderie is incredible, and I’m thrilled that Run Travis Run embodies this spirit. We're just getting started.”
Later that day, Barker joined bandmates Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge for Blink-182’s concert at SoFi Stadium, located near the Forum. According to the band’s representative, the sold-out show drew 80,000 attendees, marking their largest stadium audience ever. Known for hits like “All the Small Things,” “I Miss You,” and “One More Time,” Blink-182 also surprised fans by incorporating a snippet of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” into their song “Dammit” during the performance.
Celebrity guests at the concert included Kardashian, Megan Fox, and Machine Gun Kelly, adding to the event’s star-studded atmosphere.
