Pixar's latest sensation, "Inside Out 2," has soared to the top as the studio's highest-grossing film ever, amassing an impressive $1.25 billion worldwide, according to studio reports. This milestone not only crowns it as Pixar's top earner but also ranks it among the elite as the 23rd highest-grossing film in history, sharing company with blockbusters like "Avatar," "Avengers: Endgame," and "Titanic."

Celebrating its achievement, "Inside Out 2" surpassed "Incredibles 2," now in the No. 24 spot with $1.24 billion since its release in 2018.

Directed by Kelsey Mann, "Inside Out 2" continues the heartfelt journey of Riley (Kensington Tallman), now 13, navigating the complexities of adolescence with a colorful array of emotions personified as characters: Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Tony Hale), Disgust (Liza Lapira), and Anger (Lewis Black), all familiar from the first film.

The sequel introduces new emotions including Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), Ennui (Adèle Exarchopoulos), Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser), and fleeting moments of Nostalgia (June Squibb), adding depth to Riley's inner world.

"Inside Out 2" has also claimed the top spot for 2024 releases worldwide, leading with a significant margin over "Dune: Part Two," which grossed $710.9 million.

Disney Movie Moments marked the film's success by screening it at children's hospitals, bringing joy and entertainment to young patients.
