The Edmonton Oilers have officially signed forward Jack Roslovic to a one-year contract worth $1.5 million. The deal was announced Wednesday and marks a new chapter for the 28-year-old NHL veteran.

Roslovic joins the Oilers after a strong season with the Carolina Hurricanes. Last year, he played in 81 games, scoring 22 goals and adding 17 assists for a total of 39 points. In the playoffs, he contributed one goal and three assists over nine games. His 22 goals tied a career-high and ranked third among Hurricanes forwards. Meanwhile, his 39 points placed him sixth on the team.

A Decade of NHL Experience

Originally drafted in the first round by the Winnipeg Jets in 2015, 25th overall, Roslovic has now entered his 10th NHL season. Over his career, he has played 526 games and recorded 102 goals, 158 assists, totaling 260 points.

With the Columbus Blue Jackets, he appeared in 246 games, scoring 51 goals and contributing 95 assists. His brief stint with the New York Rangers included 19 games, where he added 3 goals and 5 assists. Most recently, Roslovic spent the 2024-25 season with Carolina, where he matched his career goal-high.

Playoff Contributions

Jack Roslovic also has valuable playoff experience. In 45 career postseason games, he has scored three goals and provided 14 assists. His consistent play and versatility make him a notable addition to the Oilers’ roster.

A Forward to Strengthen Edmonton

The Oilers aim to bolster their forward line with Roslovic’s signing. Known for his offensive instincts and experience across multiple teams, he brings depth and reliability to Edmonton’s lineup. His ability to perform in both regular and postseason play makes him a strategic fit.

Roslovic’s move to Edmonton follows a pattern of experienced forwards joining teams to strengthen playoff pushes. Fans will be watching closely to see how his skill set integrates with Edmonton’s core players.

Looking Ahead

The 28-year-old’s signing signals the Oilers’ commitment to reinforcing their attack. As the new season approaches, Roslovic is expected to play a key role in both scoring and creating opportunities. His career journey shows adaptability, consistent production, and a competitive edge that can benefit Edmonton.

With a decade of NHL experience and proven performance, Jack Roslovic is ready to make an impact in the upcoming season. Edmonton fans will hope his addition helps the Oilers maintain momentum and push deeper into the playoffs.
