KFC is giving its fans another reason to celebrate this fall. After reviving two popular menu items earlier this year, the fast-food chain is now reintroducing its famous Original Honey BBQ sauce. The much-loved classic will make its official return on Monday, October 6.

Catherine Tan-Gillespie, President of KFC U.S., shared her excitement about the comeback. “KFC’s Original Honey BBQ wasn’t just a menu offering, it became a cultural touchstone that fans have been craving and asking us to bring back for years,” she said.

A ’90s Favourite Returns
The Original Honey BBQ sauce first appeared in the late 1990s and quickly became a customer favourite. The sweet and smoky flavour earned a devoted following and turned into what many called a “cult classic.” Fans fondly remember the sticky, finger-licking sauce that even inspired KFC to hand out extra wet napkins. The brand’s sense of humour about the sauce’s messy nature made it even more memorable.

Earlier Menu Revivals
This new launch follows the return of two other fan favourites in August — potato wedges and hot and spicy wings. Both made a comeback after strong customer demand and continue to hold a spot on KFC’s menu. The company’s recent efforts show that listening to fans can bring old favourites back to life while keeping menus exciting and familiar.

Special Deals for Chicken Lovers
To match the nostalgic theme, KFC is offering its classic chicken sandwich for only $3.99 for a limited time. The deal allows customers to enjoy the famous sandwich at nearly half its regular price, making it an easy choice for both old fans and new customers.

Halloween Treats for Rewards Members
KFC is also rolling out 13 days of special offers for its rewards members in celebration of Halloween. From October 18 through October 31, members can access exclusive deals through the KFC mobile app or website.

Some of the featured offers include a free classic chicken sandwich with a $10 purchase and 50% off a 12-piece chicken-only bucket. These deals change daily, giving customers a new reason to check in each day until Halloween.

A Nostalgic Taste of the Past
With the return of the Original Honey BBQ sauce, KFC continues to build on a wave of nostalgia that connects customers to the brand’s past. The sauce’s comeback joins a list of other menu revivals that blend the best of old and new.

Fans can now look forward to reliving a classic KFC experience — saucy fingers, smoky flavour, and all.
