Revelstoke Mountain Resort in British Columbia has been crowned The Best Ski Resort for Powder in the World by the 2025 Snomad Ski Resort Awards. The recognition places Revelstoke among the top ski destinations globally, known for its incredible snow, vast terrain, and small-town mountain charm.

Along with its top title, Revelstoke also landed in the top three worldwide for Best Overall Ski Resort. It ranked among the top three in 14 different categories across both North America and the world — a major win for the resort and its loyal visitors.

What Makes Revelstoke So Special

Ryan Melnyk, Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Marketing at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, said the recognition reflects what visitors have felt for years.

“These awards tell us what so many skiers already know — Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a place that is world-class, unique and spectacular,” said Melnyk.

He credited the resort’s success to its diverse terrain and remarkable snow quality. “We are graced with an average of 34 feet of snow each year,” he added. “It creates that light, champagne powder skiing and riding experience that people travel from all around the world to enjoy.”

Awards Chosen by Skiers Worldwide

The Snomad Ski Resort Awards are based entirely on feedback from skiers and snowboarders. More than 220,000 riders around the world rated resorts across 20 categories, including snow quality, terrain, and guest experience.

Unlike many competitions judged by committees, these awards rely completely on visitor reviews. This makes Revelstoke’s win even more meaningful, as it reflects genuine experiences from the skiing community.

“Revelstoke has a certain appeal that draws people back again and again,” Melnyk explained. “Mount Mackenzie delivers the kind of terrain and snowfall that is unlike anywhere else. It's a big mountain skiing experience with an authentic small-town charm, and that combination is really attractive to skiers and riders of all levels.”

A True Canadian Mountain Experience

Located in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains, Revelstoke Mountain Resort offers one of the most thrilling ski experiences in North America. The resort features the continent’s longest vertical drop at 5,620 feet and receives more than 10 metres of snow each year.

The mountain includes four large alpine bowls, scenic groomed runs, and vast glades perfect for adventurous riders. For those looking to take it further, Selkirk-Tangiers Heli Skiing provides access to over 500,000 acres of untouched backcountry terrain near Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Park.

With its breathtaking views, heavy snowfall, and welcoming mountain community, Revelstoke continues to grow in popularity among both Canadian and international skiers.

Looking Ahead to the New Season

Revelstoke Mountain Resort plans to open its slopes for the 2025–26 winter season in late November. Skiers are already preparing for another year of world-class runs, deep powder, and unforgettable mountain experiences in one of the most celebrated resorts on the planet.
